Paul Bryant "5th most influential person in fire safety"

As part of the annual IFSEC exhibition and conference, held this month in London, an international panel of leaders in the fire and security industry have nominated top global influencers for 2018. Under the category fire safety, Paul Bryant is listed as the fifth most influential person. Sir Kenneth Knight is listed in third place. Jon O'Neill, MD of the Fire Protection Association is at number two and leading fire safety lawyer, Warren Spencer, is at the top spot.

"I am gobsmacked," is Paul's response. "I would like to thank those who put my name forward. It really is an honour to be recognised in this way by my peers."

Since the beginning of the year, Paul has been spending a fair amount of time developing his concept of "Holistic Fire Engineering" at the University of Technology in Lodz, Poland, as part of his PhD research programme. The intention is to revolutionise the formulation and approval of fire strategies. This will make use of an online system "Igni.online" that is designed to be a consistent platform - across the world. Key concepts of the idea have already been presented at fire conferences in Hawaii, Poland, UK and Italy.
