UK Government to rename the term "Fire safety" in major terminology shake-up.

A marketing body aligned with the Government has determined that the term "fire safety" has developed a negative connotation over the years, with their idea to change the word "Fire" to "Favi". They believe that the new word has a much friendlier tone and will be less likely to be associated with risk to persons or property. They suggest that Fire Safety is known as Favi Safety. Fire Authorities will be renamed as Favi Authorities. Similarly, the Fire Industry Association will be renamed as the Favi Industry Association and engineers in the discipline will be referred to as "Favi Safety Engineers". It is suggested that the new name is implemented on 1st April 2023.

A fire safety industry spokesperson, Dr Avril Uno, has described the suggestion as "Bonkers" and suggests that this is wokeness gone mad.
